Avdhoot Shivanand is a Master of Ancient Vedic Practices, who has been sharing the sacred wisdom of ancient Siddhas that was only transmitted from the Guru to worthy disciples, thus being protected within the lineage. He is fondly known as “Baba ji” meaning father in Hindi.
Babaji was blessed at the tender age of 8 when a great Himalayan yogi 108 Jagannath Swami, one day called Babaji and initiated him with a mantra and quickly left the place. From this tender age, Babaji began his spiritual practices, all the while being guided and blessed by His masters.
After attaining His self, Babaji decided that He must reach out to the people at large and share these divine wisdom with everyone as He felt it was everyone’s birthright to learn and ascend. Babaji soon began teaching these practices in mass workshops where he also taught the common man how to heal oneself and others physically, emotionally and burn one’s karmic structures that were responsible for sufferings in their lives. Soon, Babaji came to be known as the “Father of Indian Healing”.
Babaji always taught that in order evolve spiritually and to liberate oneself, it was not necessary to leave the world or one’s worldly responsibilities. Babaji himself led by example that it was possible to attain self-realization even being a grihasth (house-holder) practicing spirituality and at the same time taking care of worldly responsibilities. He taught how one can be in the world and yet remain out of the world by observing an attitude of detachment by witnessing everything around as the play of consciousness. At the same time, Babaji laid emphasis on unconditional forgiveness, unconditional acceptance and unconditional love, which is the hallmark of a Siddha (liberated being).
A Siddha is a liberated being beyond the barriers of language, religion, and even boundaries that differentiate life in any form – man, animal or plant. Babaji sees no distinction in any religion and accepts all religion as one. He says every religion preaches truth in it’s own way and it is ignorance to see everything as separate because everything sprouts from one source. Babaji focuses on what all great masters of all religion have preached and often makes mention of the sayings of Jesus Christ, Buddha, Mahavira, Indian mystics and sufi saints.
Babaji eagerly shares the wealth of wisdom and experience that He cultivated during His years of hard spiritual practices and sadhna. He graces everyone with abundant energies of the Divine to help one raise one’s vibrations by acting as the important medium between mankind and the Divine. It is with His compassion and love that millions have benefited and are still benefiting in many ways. He is a source of inspiration and a role model to the modern man who can balance one’s life spiritually and materialistically.
Babaji always stresses that it is one’s pure intention that matters in any and every aspect of life. It is only one’s honesty, integrity and sincerity in one’s spiritual practice that brings faster growth. Babaji openly shuns superstition that has haunted mankind for thousands of years and reveals many real in-depth meaning of the ancient scriptures that have often been misunderstood for generations. He demonstrated the powers of ritualistic practices when they are undertaken with the wisdom of their subtle symbolic meaning with pure intentions in performing the act.
Babaji prefers not meeting anyone personally for He believes every answer is within and He teaches one to access these dormant powers in every human being. Babaji teaches to take responsibility of one’s own life and creating one’s own destiny by unleashing the potentials that lie buried under human ignorance. Lakhs of people have brought positive changes into their lives and redirected their lives to the way they wish to live life with peace, health, happiness and abundance. Babaji has become the role-model of people of all diversities, religion, from children to the aged.
